For those who live here and appreciate the nearly year-round sunshine, it’s no surprise that Tucson should be listed among the 25 Best Places to Retire just published a couple weeks ago by Money magazine. Leading the way in their description of why Tucson makes the list are the 350 days of sunshine, plentiful golf courses, and excellent Southwestern cuisine. Of course while these items are among the initial reasons many people look at Tucson the article does say how much culture is available in and around the “Old Pueblo”. With reasonable state income tax and with much more affordable housing in the last few years there are many reasons that people still seek refuge during their retirement in the Tucson vicinity.
