Step 15: Fill out and return your buyer's packet

As soon as you get under contract, we will send all the necessary contract documents to the escrow officer, so they’ll be getting started on the transaction. You’ll receive quite a bit of information from the escrow company once you’re under contract on a property. Please don’t ignore any of it as it’s all important information. One of the first things they send out is a “Buyer Package” in the mail, or sometimes email, which you’ll need to fill out and send back to them. Return this information to the escrow company as quickly as possible so they can proceed in preparing documents for the closing without delays.

If you have any questions please contact the escrow company and they can help you with any issues. Of course you can always reach out to us too, but they’re usually able to best handle those questions related to their end of the transaction.

The escrow company will need to know how you’re taking title to prepare the documents for closing. There are forms available online, or click here for a document called “Ways to Take Title in Arizona,” explaining the different types of ways you can take title in Arizona. You can also click here for “A Comparison to Taking Title in Arizona.” It’s recommended you speak with a lawyer, accountant, or estate planner if you need advice on how to take title. Arizona is a community property state so anyone who is married and wanting to take title as Sole & Separate will need to have their spouse sign a Disclaimer Deed.
